Community Outreach Program
The ControlTek Community Outreach Program began as a simple way
to organize charitable efforts made by ControlTek employees. ControlTek
has a history of community giving and the CCOP was created to provide
and a tool for employees to learn of and participate in charitable
events in the community.
A Board of Directors consisting of 5 employees and 1 owner meet
regularly to identify and plan charitable events in the local, regional
and global community throughout the year. The CCOP organizes specific
events and also provides a vessel for employees to participate in
charitable events throughout the community.
From sponsoring disadvantaged families at Christmas to hosting an
outdoor festival to benefit the Red Cross September 11th Fund,
ControlTek employees have always made a difference in the community.
Recent Events:
ControlTek Company BBQ:
“ControlTek is about top down-bottom up communication.
A production worker, project manager and engineer all have direct
access to me, every voice is heard.”
- Andy LaFrazia, ControlTek President.
ControlTek employees competed in a friendly BBQ contest this summer.
The Production, Engineering and Office workgroups formed teams to
create the best BBQ lunch. The workgroups were tasked with feeding
the entire company and had to come up with a theme all on a budget.
Each team was judged on efficiency, quality and ability to stick
to the budget. “This fun little contest was meant to echo
the challenges we face as a business everyday in a fun way,”
Stacey Smith, Human Resources. “
In the end, we were blown away by the commitment, organization,
and, most of all, the good time that the employees had during the
BBQ competition. The BBQ’s brought out a healthy competitive
spirit of ControlTek!” And by the way, the Production workgroup
won a pizza and bowling party for their BBQ featuring “Foods
of the World.”
