Quality Training - Passport To A Polynesian Paradise
The ControlTek training team transformed the conference room into a Polynesian Paradise, complete with tropical flowers, exotic birds, and island music. They armed every employee with an actual ‘Passport To Quality’ and taught each traveler how to navigate through ControlTek’s quality system.
Of course, the trip was old hat to most ControlTek employees. This is the third excursion employees have taken in ControlTek’s quality system. Training in the quality system occurs every six months, coinciding with our ISO surveillance audits. “It’s a great way to refresh everyone’s memory in our quality system,” says ControlTek President, Andy LaFrazia.
The training class begins with a review of the quality system. Special attention is paid to Document Control, CAPA, ControlTek Quality Policy and quality measurement. “Employees are very receptive to the training session and learn a lot about our quality system. The tropical environment we created makes training fun and everyone retains what they have learned,” says Vice President of Human Resources, Stacey Smith.
The week following training, all employees are given three opportunities to answer quality related questions. When they answer the questions correctly, the employee gets a stamp in their quality Passport. Once they receive three stamps, the employees are entered in a drawing for a prize.
Passport to a Polynesian Paradise training is another demonstration of ControlTek’s commitment to providing quality products & services to customers. We enjoy improving our company’s quality systems and are happy to share the results with our customers.
