ControlTek Continues Commitment to Employee Health & Wellness

A Wellness Program that Works for Employees

When ControlTek leadership began work on the creation of a new employee wellness program back in 2012, we knew the road towards better health and quality of life for our employees would depend on our ability to make a longterm commitment.

So we committed.

The result was ControlTek’s Forward Living Program, a wellness program built on the belief that healthy habits empower employees to live happier, more successful lives. Each employee who chooses to be a program participant receives a full Health Risk Assessment, individual health consultations, goal planning assistance, as well as rewards for progress made towards those goals. The program reflects ControlTek’s overriding belief that the partnerships we create with our employees are just as valuable and important as the relationships we form with our clients and community.

We are thrilled to announce today that the Forward Living Program has proven one of the best initiatives we’ve undertaken in ControlTek’s 45 year history! Since the program was created, we’ve seen our employees embrace a commitment to their health and to taking daily steps towards better health and wellness.

And it gets even better. Since 2012, we have continued to see measurable improvements year over year in many lifestyle-related health indicators. This year, we saw reductions in negative risk factors across all categories we track!

Healthiest Employer Honors

To top it off, this year ControlTek was named as one of the Portland Business Journal’s Healthiest Employers and tied for the 2016 Southwest Washington Healthiest Company (Large Category). We are incredibly honored to be recognized for the efforts--and results--our employees have accomplished in the past few years.

As we look forward to 2017, we take this moment to appreciate how far we’ve come as an organization to welcome wellness into our organization, and to recommit to another year of creating a wellness-centered culture in our workplace.
