ControlTek Executives Prepare for IPC APEX Expo and Executive Meeting

This month, ControlTek executives are preparing for the trip south to San Diego to participate in the upcoming IPC APEX and EMS Management Council Meeting, which will take place during the first half of the Expo.

“We look forward to attending the IPC meetings because we get a Macro look at our industry,” says ControlTek President Andy LaFrazia. “The national stage at the IPC Apex gives us the opportunity to focus on new opportunities and to discuss shared challenges from around the country.”

“The more knowledge we have about what today’s customers are looking for in their EMS provider,” he continues, “the better we’ll be equipped to meet their requirements when it comes to our equipment, processes, and compliance.”

This year’s event will take place February 23-26 at the San Diego Convention Center (click here for more details about the show or to register to attend the event).

In addition to learning more about trends in wearable technologies, high performance electronics systems, and the detection of counterfeit electronic parts, the EMS Management Council Meeting will also cover topics directly related to leadership challenges EMS Executives will face in the coming year.

“We want to know what to expect in the new year within the industry, but we also want to continually improve our ability to lead from within our organization,” says Stacey LaFrazia Smith, V.P. of Human Resources and Marketing for ControlTek. “To some extent that means knowing how to make decisions that are informed by contextual market trends. It also means ensuring we can address any possible cultural issues, communicate with and engage our employees, and listen attentively to our customers. These sessions provide us with the tools to do that, and to prepare for success in the future.”

Other topics covered at this year’s event include onshoring, Global Electronics market trends, and integrated Design Engineering.
