Missed Last Weekend's Teardown Event? Watch Andy's Session Here
DFM with your CM: How to Save Time and Money
Last weekend engineers and hobbyists alike met up at local crowdfunding platform Crowd Supply's Teardown, a hardware conference held this year at the Pacific Northwest College of Art.
The 3-day extravaganza, billed as a "live-action Crowd Supply" was put on in association with Make+Think+Code to bring together hardware pros from around the world to check out new hardware as well as hear from industry experts about a host of topics relevant to today's hardware developers.
ControlTek President Andy LaFrazia was one of those industry experts, speaking with new product developers about the importance of Design for Manufacturing and early involvement with your manufacturing partner. And don't worry, if you missed the event last weekend you can still catch Andy's session above!
ControlTek's Design Engineering team was also on hand for the event to meet with other engineers and inventors, and to attend some of the many exciting sessions happening throughout the weekend. One favorite of the event was the keynote on Digital Media Copyright / Protection Laws.
"Teardown provides a great opportunity for up and coming developers to network and to meet some of the people who can help them prepare their products for market," said ControlTek Engineering Manager David Flinchbaugh. "We are excited to see these types of events grow and mature in our area and help connect product developers to the many useful resources availabe in our area."
