The Right Solution is a Team Effort

The products ControlTek manufactures are custom and complex. It takes an experienced team of experts to fully understand the many challenges of manufacturing a custom electronic assembly. Fortunately, employee experts can be found throughout the ControlTek company, experts who are committed to solving problems and delighting our customers.

Recently a customer came to ControlTek with a distinct challenge. They needed an AS9100 manufacturer who could build a prototype assembly for a product that provides satellite tracking and communication for aircraft. ControlTek immediately responded; our Program Managers and Buyers began sourcing materials and coordinating production documentation with our Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams.

Production routed the assembly and subassemblies through nearly every department at ControlTek, from Kitting and Cables, SMT, 1st Assembly, Board Assembly, Mechanical Assembly and Testing. These departments worked together as a team to get the prototype runs through production while providing feedback on new ways to improve the build process. The customer was so pleased with our prototyping services that ControlTek now manufactures both the assembly and its sub-assemblies,and will continue to manufacture further products from this new customer!
