This year the event will take place in Bellevue on May 11, 2017.

June 2nd has come and gone, and that means the deadline for public businesses to file their conflict minerals reporting information is now past.

With the Federal deadline rapidly approaching, many companies are upping efforts to meet new Federal requirements for conflict mineral reporting as laid out by Section 1502 of the Dodd Frank Act. To help, we’ve put together a short guide to help businesses on the road to a conflict free supply chain.

The concern over counterfeit parts isn’t exactly new, but it is receiving increasing attention after the Senate Armed Services Committee published a report in May 2012 that went so far as to call the issue an “unacceptable risk to national security and the safety of U.S. military personnel.”
