At ControlTek, our vision and mission are clearly focused around our ability to create longterm partnerships.

Often those relationships are with ControlTek's customers and vendors, but we also believe that as an organization our success rests squarely on our ability to form equally strong partnerships with our employees.

ControlTek’s Kaizen events are just one way ControlTek is working towards Lean Manufacturing goals at our electronics manufacturing facility. ControlTek is also investing in employee and management training initiatives made possible in part through grants received from the Washington Job Skills Program and the Southwest Washington Workforce Development Council.

The road to Lean Manufacturing is long, but here at ControlTek our employees are helping us pave the way every day.

Our most recent Kaizen event focused on identifying products that could be grouped together into a single production line. By grouping products with similar cable assembly, circuit assembly or other electronics manufacturing processes, ControlTek employees were able to create quick-turn, one-piece flow production, reducing WIP time and lead times to deliver finished electronics products to our customers faster.

At ControlTek we understand that successful production begins with a well-defined design engineering process. ControlTek customers don’t just need a finished design; you need a finished design that offers a feeling of security, knowing that the end product will meet your requirements and withstand rigorous testing and end use.

The concern over counterfeit parts isn’t exactly new, but it is receiving increasing attention after the Senate Armed Services Committee published a report in May 2012 that went so far as to call the issue an “unacceptable risk to national security and the safety of U.S. military personnel.”
